We’re your sons! Not your tools for revenge!
That last scene with them was the most flawless, emotionally charged scene in the entire series.

someone give me an AU
where one of Korra’s water bending partners/teachers were Noatok and Tarrlok
and their backstory teaches her about pride, humility, greed, and above all, the abuse of bending

there was really no helping anything imean ASAMI got more growth you’d think you’d wanna pay more attention to your main character but korra has progressed next to nothing. also bolin, comic relief to the fucking end ok cool fuck you guys
OH my GOD I KNOW RIGHT
I didn’t mention Bolin because what
was there to mention
Well, no, besides it was painful to watch

there was a review earlier that gave the whole "aang just snaps his fingers and gives korra back her bends" a little more, idk flesh? the sig of seeing the tear fall shows that she was leaning over the cliff, possibly contemplating suicide over not being a "worthy avatar", but then fallin back and not jumpin was her going "no. i can't run from this, i have to deal with this" was the acceptance that triggered the spiritual self. it was still unsatisfying. but better than "o u hasa sad here bends"
Nah, that’s still really shitty
First of all, it read terribly and second of all, Korra didn’t get enough introspection or attention as a character to EARN that kind of ending. It was just more drama for the sake of drama, which is honestly the reason anything was done in the season. And that’s shit

It /is/ convenient to the plot, but hasn’t lok demonstrated that the ‘rarer’ forms of bending aren’t uncommon as they used to be? ie, lightning powered factory, magical rocket firebending, etc etc?
It’s more like LoK has proven it doesn’t care about making Korra competent, it cares about drama and audience manipulation
