yeah, no, the stuff at DA kept me from ever getting into the fandom, there. I should really check out the LJ fics—do you have any recs? 

Hmm most of the fics I’ve read on train_dragon have been pretty good. Mind you, I haven’t been to the community in a couple months so I can’t vouch for the newer stuff. If you find one by lost_laputian, almne, or fenm though, theirs are almost always great.
